Aegis-7 — textured components + full-body assembly WIP · candidate

Hunyuan3D-Paint pass over the Aegis-7 component set (the manifold-repaired recovery1 part shells) and its neutral-state full-body assembly, evaluated against the concept aegis_7_fullbody.png (a pearl-white translucent body laced with luminous gold circuitry, a radiant chest starburst, and a "7" forehead glyph). Each surface was rendered in Godot (king_tier) and visually reviewed. These are review candidates, not accepted/AAA/done — gates for scale/socket, collision/LOD, palette convergence, and rig-bound reassembly remain.

5 parts painted clean1 full-body assembly (WIP)paint Hunyuan3D-Paint turboconcept aegis_7_fullbody.png
Method note (measured, not vibes): the recovered/manifold-repaired part shells paint clean and on-palette — pearl-white with glowing gold circuit-tracery, matching the concept. The direct full-body paint of the assembled body is coherent but drives everything toward uniform gold and scores lower against the concept (classical concept-match overall 0.477, perceptual 0.790; the low silhouette IoU 0.16 reflects an armored-mech interpretation vs the concept's slim translucent body, a design-translation gap, not a geometry defect). Per-part painting is the more concept-faithful path; rig-bound reassembly of the painted parts (the provenance-locked builder currently pins the untextured sources) is the next step.

Textured components — recovery-repaired shells, painted clean

cranial face shellclean

android face · gold circuitry · "7" glyph · gold eyes

Serene androgynous android face: pearl-white with glowing gold circuit-tracery, gold eyes and the "7" forehead glyph — a strong identity match to the concept. Watertight, no fracture.

thorax light shellclean

breastplate · central chest port

Smooth watertight torso shell, pearl-white with flowing gold circuit-tracery and a central chest socket. Clean, on-palette.

pelvis shellclean

girdle shell · cyan edge accents

Pelvic girdle shell, pearl-white with gold circuitry and cyan edge accents; watertight, on-palette.

left forearm shellclean

arm sleeve

Clean tapered forearm sleeve, pearl-white with faint gold circuit lines. Simple but watertight; slightly under-detailed vs the hero shells.

left shin / calf shellclean

calf sleeve

Clean calf shell, pearl-white/cream with faint gold circuitry. Watertight, on-palette.

Full-body assembly — direct paint (coherent, less concept-faithful)

Aegis-7 assembled + paintedWIP

concept-match overall 0.477 · perc 0.790 · IoU 0.16 (armor vs translucent-body silhouette gap)

Complete coherent bipedal mech, no shatter at body scale, textured warm gold/brass via a single full-body driver. Loses the crisp pearl-white + gold-line contrast the per-part paints capture — the per-part path (above) is the more faithful direction. Candidate for whole-character direction only.

Systemic fix — before / after (daemon emitter pauldron)

Finding: the raw --no-remesh single-part signature sources (mech745, chronosync, daemon_enforcer, …) fracture into non-manifold shards when textured — the matte clay renders hid it. Fix: native-remesh re-export from the cached decode (--from-decoded <npz>, dropping --no-remesh), which ran clean under memguard (peak 4.8 GiB). Re-painting the remeshed shell removes the shattering (faint residual edge seams remain, a known native-remesh caveat). Concept-match jumped to overall 0.767, perceptual 0.962. This is the recipe to unblock all six raw single-part subjects.

RAW no-remeshshattered

painted directly on the raw source — non-manifold shards

The lower half forges as fractured facets once textured — the defect the clay render concealed.

native-remeshedclean

re-export from cached decode, remesh on — coherent shell + cyan emitter port

Clean armored pauldron with glowing cyan emitter port; shattering gone. concept-match 0.767 (perc 0.962).
